Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Some sources also note a requirement for a minimum of 3 years of practice as an advocate.
Age Limit (as of 01.08.2025)
- Minimum: 22 Years.
- Maximum: 35 Years for Unreserved Males; 40 Years for Women and Reserved categories.
Selection Process
- Preliminary Exam: Objective type papers covering General Studies (100 marks) and Law (150 marks).
- Mains Exam: Written subjective exam consisting of five compulsory papers: General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Elementary General Science, General Hindi, General English, and Law of Evidence & Procedure. Candidates must also choose three elective law subjects.
- Interview: 100 Marks. A minimum of 35% is required to qualify.
