Bihar Vidyarathi Sahayog Portal Launched: Complaints to Be Resolved Within 30 Days
Vidyarathi Sahayog Portal: In a major initiative aimed at addressing students’ concerns, complaints, and suggestions, the “Vidyarathi Sahayog Portal” (Student Support Portal) has been launched from J.D. Women’s College, Patna. The initiative is designed to provide students with an accessible, transparent, and time-bound platform for raising education-related issues.

Student Support Portal and Toll-Free Helpline 1100
Students can now register their complaints and suggestions through the Student Support Portal. A toll-free helpline number 1100 has also been made available to facilitate student assistance.
Through this system, students can raise issues related to schools, colleges, hostels, education services, and other student-related matters.
Student Support Camps Every Fourth Tuesday
Vidyarathi Sahayog Portal: To make the grievance-redressal system more accessible, “Student Support Camps” will be organized on the fourth Tuesday of every month. These camps will provide students with an opportunity to present their complaints and suggestions and seek appropriate action.
In addition, the “Student Support Campaign” will begin across schools and hostels from August 25. The campaign will help students become aware of the support mechanism and encourage them to report their concerns.
10-Day Action and 30-Day Resolution Timeline
One of the key features of the initiative is the time-bound grievance resolution mechanism.
If action on a complaint does not begin within 10 days, an automatic notice will be initiated at the appropriate level. The system aims to ensure that complaints are resolved within a maximum period of 30 days.
This mechanism is expected to strengthen accountability, transparency, and responsiveness in addressing student grievances.

Expanding Educational Opportunities in Bihar
Along with the Student Support initiative, Bihar is continuing to expand educational infrastructure and opportunities for students.
The state is working on initiatives including model schools at 551 locations, live teacher support from home, 211 new degree colleges, and permission for degree courses in 342 B.Ed. colleges.
These measures are intended to provide students with better educational facilities, academic support, and greater opportunities for higher education.
Why Is the Student Support Portal Important?
The Student Support Portal can benefit students in several ways:
- A centralized platform for registering education-related complaints.
- Access to assistance through toll-free helpline 1100.
- A time-bound mechanism for taking action on complaints.
- Monthly Student Support Camps on the fourth Tuesday.
- Student Support Campaigns across schools and hostels.
- Greater accountability and transparency in grievance redressal.
Conclusion
The Bihar Student Support Portal is an important step toward creating a more responsive and student-friendly education system. With a defined timeline for action and resolution, students can expect a more structured mechanism for raising their concerns and seeking solutions.
Together with model schools, live teacher support, new degree colleges, and expanded higher-education opportunities, the initiative reflects Bihar’s continued efforts toward “Prosperous Bihar” and “Developed India.”
